solace

1.25.2015

"The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature & God.  Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be & that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.  As long as this exists, & it certainly always will, I know that then there will always be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. & I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles."

never have I ever

1.16.2015
Never Have I Ever is a blog link up hosted by In Its Time blog.  I found it through a mutual blogger & thought it seemed like a fun idea .

So. Here are my answers.

Never Have I ..

Been on a plane.  Nope. I've never stepped on the proverbial machine that flies thousands of feet above our heads.

Been to another country. You may have been able to ascertain that from by previous answer.  Well..., I could roadtrip to Canada.. or Mexico for that matter!

Had a cup of coffee. While some people may feel death looming if their morning coffee time is  skipped, I have never liked the stuff & have never had a  full cup of the black grossness.  I love the smell of it though.

Grown up. I'm serious. I'm still a kid.

Gotten a ticket. I'm still wondering how I get away with this one. I've passed a cop going 70mph on a 55 & he just kept on his merrily little way without even giving me a blink. (For the record, I went the speed limit the rest of the way home).

Written a New York Time's Bestseller. Guys, I'm so behind the times.

Broken a bone. I've had my share of sprains & jams and twists. But never enough to crack  my invincible bones. I'm steel, people.

Ran a 5k or a race of any sort. & you better not ask me to either. I'll sit you down with a dozen donuts & set you straight.

Okay, now it's your turn. Just make sure & link up with the In Its Time blog!

lazy, quiet town

1.08.2015

you know I wonder all the time what it would be like to live in a big city. I've come to the conclusion that while city life sounds appealing and exciting, there's just something about small town america where everyone knows everybody and the streets are rarely clogged and people are not rushing about to and fro but are actually living life slowly and quietly and... this will not sound pretty or picturesque- where the main attraction for everyone is either walmart or our downtown shops.
It's quiet here, nothing too important really ever happens.  most people would probably want to leave this town as soon as they step foot into it. we don't have incredibly amazing restraunts, or a mall or, get this, even a movie theater. but delivering flowers everyday to all different kinds of people ( I work at a  flowershop) really opens your eyes to the heart of this town and the people and what life is really all about.

I could word this really picturesque and say that I work at a quaint flowershop in a small quaint town in America (for quaint it really is)... and honestly, I do.
